Below are some Tips and Tricks to help you to determine what it will take. Our experienced staff can assist you in selecting your flowers and what supplies will be needed.

Bridal & Bridesmaids Bouquets
~ Supplies needed: Corsage tape, vase to hold bouquet, Ribbon, corsage pins.
~ The average Hand Held Bridal Bouquet or Nosegay is made up of 24-36 flowers. The average Bridesmaid Bouquet is made up of 12-18 flowers.
~ Bouquets can be made a couple of days in advance, but ribbon work should be done the morning of the wedding.
~ Bouquets may not need to be stored in the refrigerator (depends on the product used).
~ Bridal Bouquet & Bridesmaid Bouquets can be used as head table décor.
~ A separate small Bouquet can be used for the Toss Bouquet so the Bride can keep hers.
Corsages / Boutonnieres
~ Supplies needed: 22-24 gage wire, corsage tape, ¼- ½ ribbon, Corsage Box or Ziploc bags for storage & corsage pins
~ Save corsage and boutonniere work till the night before the wedding and store in packaging inside refrigerator.
Ribbon
~It takes approx. 2 yards of ribbon (1-2 width) to do a Bridal Bouquet stem wrap & 2 yards for a ballerina design (½ or thinner).
~ It takes approx. 2 ½ yards or wider (4-6) Ribbon to do Chair/Pew Bows
~ It takes approx. 1-2 yards of thin ¼ 1to make bows for corsages
Rose Petals
~ Purchase roses 3-4 days prior to wedding, take off all packaging and clean off foliage that is underwater. Enjoy the roses while you wait for them to open (open roses are easier to peel)
~ Day of wedding peel off petals and place in paper bag.
~ Average wedding aisle (10-12 rows of chairs) takes 4 bunches or 100 stems of roses. (Be sure to check with venue to make sure they allow rose petals.)
~ Takes 1-2 stems worth of roses to scatter around base of centerpieces
Centerpieces
~ Ideally, centerpieces should be very low and compact (10 or less) so guests and see over them or really tall to see under (over 20).
~ When using tall centerpieces outdoors make they are weighted down with a heavy base (the wind can blow them over, or unstable ground can cause table to wobble)
~ Using Colored linens and or napkins is a great way to tie in the wedding colors. Add an extra colored napkin to center of table for a base for the centerpiece.
~ Make an extra Centerpiece or 2 in case there is an added table, if not they can be placed in other places throughout the reception.
Cut Flowers
~ Cut Flower Orders should be placed at a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the event.
~Plenty of buckets should on hand to store the flowers (average of 1 bucket for every 4 bunches of flowers), but is not needed for transportation.
~ Lilies should be purchased 4-5 days prior to use so they can open.
~ For a Saturday Wedding, flowers can be picked up on Thursday Cleaned & prepped and design work can be done Thursday & Friday.
